Summary

YouTube AI Indicator is a Chrome extension that helps users notice YouTube AI disclosure signals earlier while browsing YouTube.

The extension adds non-blocking badges on YouTube pages when it finds YouTube's official altered-or-synthetic content disclosure or creator-stated AI-use notes in public YouTube content.

Version 1 is local-first. It does not send your YouTube watch history, scan results, or analytics to a minta-operated server.

Data the Extension Processes

To provide its single purpose, the extension may read public content from YouTube pages, including:

• video IDs
• playlist IDs
• video titles
• public video descriptions
• public playlist pages
• YouTube's public disclosure surfaces
• creator-stated AI-use notes in public descriptions

This data is processed to detect disclosure signals and display badges on YouTube pages.

Local Storage

The extension uses Chrome local extension storage to cache scan results on your device. This helps avoid repeatedly scanning the same videos and playlists.

Locally stored data may include:

• video IDs
• playlist IDs
• scan result labels
• detection source
• timestamps

You can clear this local cache from the extension popup.

Network Requests

The extension may request public YouTube pages or YouTube API endpoints from your browser to inspect disclosure signals for the current YouTube experience.

The extension does not load or execute remotely hosted JavaScript or WebAssembly. All extension code is bundled in the Chrome Web Store package.

Data Not Collected by minta

Version 1 does not collect or transmit the following to minta:

• Google account identifiers
• YouTube cookies
• personal watch history
• emails, names, addresses, or phone numbers
• passwords or authentication credentials
• precise location
• payment information
• keystrokes, mouse movements, or scroll tracking
• analytics events
• scan results

Third-Party Sharing

minta does not sell user data.

minta does not transfer user data to third parties except as required to operate the Chrome Web Store distribution platform or comply with applicable law.

Future Server Features

Future versions may add optional server-side classification or anonymous improvement statistics. If such features are added, this privacy policy and the Chrome Web Store privacy disclosures will be updated before release.
